Man held over armed bank robbery

Detectives investigating an armed robbery at a bank in East Yorkshire have arrested a man.

A man carrying a gun stole cash and threatened staff at the Bradford and Bingley branch on Holderness Road, Hull, on Wednesday morning.

Humberside Police said no shots were fired. The 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and was later released on bail until next month.

Detectives have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
